Regular saver matures later this month. 13th payment has been returned. In the past Nationwide has allowed the 13th payment. Is this a change in policy?

Try and send the payment again. The Nationwide Flex RS definitely accepts a 13th payment. There is an issue with Nationwide's system whereby payments sent electronically in the first hour or two of the 1st of the month get rejected. I have a SO for the 1st and it repeatedly bounces back, including earlier today. I just send it manually a few hours later and it is accepted. Your rejection today is almost certainly due to this, and not a 13th payment issue.

    Usual drill:

Chorley BS Regular Saver (31.07.2026) and Chorley BS Regional 2 Year Flexible Saver (31.07.2027) at 5.15% NLA.

Replaced by Chorley BS Regular Saver (31.08.2026) and Chorley BS Regional 2 Year Flexible Saver (31.08.2027) at the same rates.

Can monthly payments be missed? Thanks

No, you must pay a minimum £1 per month.
Hmmm, i believe that i forgot to make any deposit in August.
Found the summary terms and it does indeed say min £1 monthly deposit.
Although doesnt mention what happens if you dont make a payment!
They have no online banking so i cant see whats happening there, maybe i will send them an email query.
I wouldn't bother to email. Just pay £1 for September now and let them tell you you are naughty.
As long as there’s definitely not a penalty stated in the terms - I have the Holiday Monthly Saver and one missed payment downgrades the account to something poorly paying (which as you say, due no no online banking, the customer wouldn’t be able to see.)

Though you can phone them and they'll tell you the account balance, interest rate, what type of account it is etc.

    Thanks.
I thought that might be the case as in previous years Nationwide have accepted 13 payments. Standing order is from Bank of Scotland and we've not had any returned before. Just odd that the first time it's happened has been for the 13th payment.
Leaving £200 in the Cahoot SDS at 5% until the Nationwide matures on 21st will lose about 16p interest so I won't lose sleep over it!

Has anyone reached the 5K ceiling and had their standing order removed without issues? I’m slightly hesitant to cancel mine because their terms state standing order of £1-150 is a must?

I'm not sure if I ever actually had SOs set up on my DRS's, but they work just fine without them.

I've just tried logging in to Progressive to check my SO has arrived today, and after putting in my password it's come up with a Salesforce page asking me to change my password.  Never had this before, I've abandoned the login. Is this genuine?
