I have posted an application form and, although hesitant originally, also a cheque for £500.00 to MonBS head office in Newport (~200 miles by road from where I live) for their Branch Exclusive Regular Saver at around 6:00 PM on Wednesday night via 1st Class using a postbox with last collection at 7:00 PM. The account appeared on their app today at around 11:00 AM with a balance of £0.00. When I checked the app later in the day - around 6:30 PM - the £500.00 is now showing as in with a description "Cheque Receipt". Happy days! Impressed at the speed.

Another £500.00 going in on Monday via bank transfer. ;)
Excellent luck. I posted mine on Wed am (in time for uplift later that day at 6pm) but with second class stamp. Nothing showing on the app yet to suggest account open. Looks like I have missed out on August. Oh well, some you win, some you lose
I'm in a similar position. If they give me the account at all, I'll consider it a huge win!
Presumably it could show Monday onwards with an opening date that is in fact an August date?
  • I've got a Coventry Sunny Day Saver maturing on the 6th and a Yorkshire Loyalty Saver maturing on the 10th. I haven't received any instructions or messages about maturity instructions. Has anyone else that have these maturing soon, received anything? My post doesn't seem to be getting delivered again regularly.

For those who have a Principality Account maturing on the 13/09/25, the maturity options are now showing on their website.

The choices include the new Issue 4 of their 6 month RS.
Maturity instructions submitted. Let's see how many Issue 4s I can accrue!
same here - though I noticed the link that opens the account terms pdf fails (as it did originally when I opened one a couple of days ago - they fixed that link, but not this one)... it just occurred to me that I haven't received anything about this maturity in the post yet - pretty sure last time, I got the letter weeks before the maturity options were available online.

also, if anyone gets the dreaded secure message, from the unidentified member of staff, rejecting multiple Issue 4 accounts, then you should still be able to call them and do it over the phone without any hassle.

I received a letter from Coventry BS, dated 4th August, that the SDS would be closed on 31st August and the balance transferred to an Easy Access Saver (7) (2.40%) account - from which the balance can be withdrawn at any time.

I don't have the YBS Loyalty Saver, though their £50 RS matures for me on the 10th - i've heard nothing from them about it yet - email or letter - although the account terms pdf states that it converts to an EA account and they would send full details of this account at least 14 days before maturity.. so I guess something should arrive any day now... possibly similar for the Loyalty Saver too.

I had mine by email earlier this week for a maturity the same day. Nothing indicated about a replacement, just advising to log in and check details were up to date so that funds could be accessed quickly on maturity.

My Coventry info came by post. No need to submit any maturity instructions - it matures into an easy access account (I don't have the specific information to hand) and presumably you can withdraw from there.

Edit: mine doesn't mature until the 18th, so I imagine your post is on its way

Is that Coventry or YBS you're referring too? Coventry sent me a whole chunk of information by post, despite all my paperless settings being set to "online". Felt like a big waste of paper.
