Interest rate underwhelming at 5% although if the interest rate remains unchanged it may be just about competitive. Obviously there are better RS`s out there but if you have exhausted them it is just about worthwhile. If T&C`s same as Xmas RS24 one withdrawal day allowed plus closure and funding amount of £150/month not great. Can be used for easy access money as most easy access accounts are below 5% or will be soon. It will join my Santander RS @ 5% as another EA RS account.

Not exactly "punch the air and shout Whoop!" is it. Will this be as good as it gets from other providers going forward?Bridlington1 said:YBS to launch a Christmas 2025 regular saver on Wed 15/1/25

Matures 31/10/25I'm with you on that, I think I would rather leave the cash in my Trading212 isa at 4.9%.Plus take a risk with the Market Harborough 6%, Opening a second one and funding both with £250 a month.1 -
Agree I was going to say exactly the same.flaneurs_lobster said:

Ideal for those that want to save for Christmas but for those of us that collect regular savers....I probably won't bother.

I’ve opened the last two in case they became useful later on, but barely used them. At 5% I won’t be bothering, especially as I think there is less chance of RS rates falling this year than there was last.flaneurs_lobster said:

you can have 2 x Market Harb ??0

Re YBS, that’s really poor IMHO. I have access to the Santander RS, also paying 5% but £200 pcm for 12 months. Might add that to my RS portfolio instead.3

Yes, and interest is tax free. A very disappointing rate from YBS when there are several at much higher rates.Bigwheels1111 said:flaneurs_lobster said:

Thanks, that's reminded me I now need to open the Santander regular saver. I'd been holding off as I have enough better ones to fund but now that we're at this new tipping point, good to open Santander before they reduce the interest ratewhere_are_we said:Bridlington1 said:YBS to launch a Christmas 2025 regular saver on Wed 15/1/25

Santander reg saver is 5% Fixed vs the YBS 5% Variable.
Santander is £200 a month vs YBS £150.
Santander is a full 12 months YBS is just 10.
Santander wins.8
