It is instant with many companies. Where one of them isn’t, and I need to make my deposits really urgently, I use the pre-COP method that served me and millions of others well for several decades and just send the money to the sort code, account number, and reference where required, that the companies give you for the new account.OrangeBlueGreen said:Nothing to do with MonBS, but they really need to make the COP system immediate and live. same thing occurred here - got 2 new accounts, but only a welcome email for one... so will fund that one tomorrow once CoP works... i've still got an unfunded (and supposedly closed) RS from years ago showing up on my app, so I wouldn't guarantee that contacting them would get the second account removed!Nick_C said:Also accidentally opened two accounts. Is everyone getting Monmouthshire welcome e-mails successfully? Despite no apparently-successful application I have 2 accounts showing in the app, but no emails. The app just was processing pending for a few minutes, until it timed-out. So I don't know which was the first successful one that I should fund 🙄🤷♂️janusdesign said:

If it's showing in the 'Your Accounts' section of the website, once logged in, you can usually close by viewing the account ('Details') and selecting 'Account Closure' on the left. Not sure if you can add this account to the 'Your Accounts' section if not showing, you usually can with non-app savers.

Monmouthshire
I had previously uninstalled the app after successfully opening the issue 8 6% RS a few weeks ago. I didn't see the point in keeping the app afterwards. However I have now managed to reinstall the (Android) app and successfully apply for the app exclusive RS.
I have ended up with 4 accounts visible in the app. I did only receive one email confirming the account details and have paid in to this one. Confusingly the email subject is 'Welcome letter for App Registration' so don't dismiss this email.0 -
Like several have reported, finally got the app to work before midday ... and discovered 2 new exclusive RS's opened! Only got welcome message for one.
Decided to ring Mon CS mainly about funding the Exclusive and the Issue 8 but also what to do about the 2nd Exclusive. They answered very quickly ~2 mins. They are aware of the problem and said just fund one Exclusive RS only, the other will disappear eventually! I can fund using faster payment from any of my current accounts and it does take 24 hours to show in the app, 48 hours online. Any nominated account is for withdrawal purposes, so all good!Compiler of the RS League Table.
