As did mine on Friday (topping up as I did not have the full £250 until another RS matured.)Speculator said:

Maybe the timescale given is a worst case scenario, like FPs usually show up instantly but can take several days.0 -
Does anyone know if the YBS 8% RS allows a 13th payment?0

Only if you haven't paid the maximum of £50 each month you've had itposhrule_uk said:Does anyone know if the YBS 8% RS allows a 13th payment?I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -
From T's&C's
How much can I save? . You can open this account from £1 and save up to £50 each calendar month. This would be a maximum of £600 in one year, before your interest was added.

I have found that YBS regular savers do accept a 13th payment taking you over the maximum balance if you send it externally but not internally and the correct interest is paid on it at the end of the term.poshrule_uk said:Does anyone know if the YBS 8% RS allows a 13th payment?6 -
Thank you for this info. Do you think l can skip two withdrawals and go straight for secure message or should I do two withdrawals first?CricketLady said:Regarding the Darlington 5% Regular Saver, for those wishing to close it I have experience of this too, as mine was due to mature in January, but I needed the funds early, so in July I withdrew it all, closed the account (and then opened a new one when I realised I could...)
The way to do it is this - it states that two penalty free withdrawals are allowed but at the third one, the account will be closed. After making the two withdrawals, upon trying to make the third the website told me this was against the terms of the account, so I rang them. After speaking to a customer service agent I learned that to close the account I had to secure message with "I would like to close this account, and for the funds to be sent to my nominated account (and the details of this, sort code and account number etc.)"

I was able to close my Darlington BS 12 Month RS in April without having to make any withdrawals or send a secure message. IIRC when I went to make a withdrawal there was a box to say that I'd like to close my account.allegro120 said:

Yes, this is correct. There is a box you can tick on withdrawal page to close account.Bridlington1 said:

Closed the Issue 1 RS last week like this2 -
Good to know... but also worth calculating how much extra interest you'll get and whether it's worth it. Mine matures midway through the month, so I reckon a 13th payment will be worth an extra 18p.skitskut said:
