Progressive BS Interest Rate Reductions 1/9/25:

Online Regular Rainy Day Saver Issue 1 ~~~Reduction from 6.25% to 6%
Online Regular Rainy Day Saver Issue 2 ~~~Reduction from 4.25% to 4%
Online Regular Rainy Day Saver Issue 3 ~~~ NO CHANGE ~~~ Remains at 5.5%
I hold Progressive RS Iss 1, due to mature on 29 Aug 2025
Today morning I received an email (redundant) about rate reduction effective from 1 Sept 2025.
If it's any consolation my Coventry Sunny Day Saver matures on 31/8/25 and I got an email this morning to tell me it was reducing on 1/9/25.

I've also had emails from others notifying me of interest rate cuts to accounts that I'd already closed in the past.
Presumably you'll withdraw all your money in protest at the massive amount of interest you'll lose :D

Make a formal complaint - got to be worth a few quid compo for the mental anguish alone.  :)

How did I miss the Darlington Issue 2 ?!!??
You need to check this thread at least once a day to keep on top of things regular saver wise!
Ha ha that's true. I opened the account this afternoon no issue, but my wife was given a referral number for someone to check her application.  B)

Opened the Darlington this morning and sent £250 by FP. Anyone know how long it takes to show online?
I made a note on my spreadsheet that it takes 1 day to show, hope that is correct!
Next working day says their website.
    Mines just appeared same day.

As did mine on Friday (topping up as I did not have the full £250 until another RS matured.)

Maybe the timescale given is a worst case scenario, like FPs usually show up instantly but can take several days.
  • Does anyone know if the YBS 8% RS allows a 13th payment?

Only if you haven't paid the maximum of £50 each month you've had it
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

    How much can I save?
. You can open this account from £1 and save up to £50 each calendar month. This would be a maximum of £600 in one year, before your interest was added.
