My First Direct RS matured yesterday. I'd already applied for a new one the evening prior. Money arrived in my savings account late yesterday evening, so I'm now waiting for the new one to be opened. If that gets done today I'll have only shifted by 1 day, which would be a record.
Only today has the "your account is maturing" message appeared in the app (after the funds had already appeared in my savings account).
FD - ended up being a 2 day shift for me (or 3 days from application)
    So YMMV

Mine recently matured, capital and interest moved to a standard saver next day.
Opening a new RS took around 5 working days...
Same here, and had no problems at all.

    NatWest/RBS Interest rate reductions 30/5/25:

NatWest Digital Regular Saver Account and Royal Bank of Scotland Digital Regular Saver Account ~~~ Reduction from 6.17% to 5.5% for balances of £5k or less.
The rate for balances over £5k shall be cut from 1.25% to 1.15%.
Looks like a 2-year pattern.  6.17% was untouched for over 2 years. It was 5.12% before the raise for a couple of years too if I remember correctly...  I hope 5.5% will have a similar lifespan :)

First of the current account attached regular saver loss leaders to cut. I hope it's the last but the others have license to follow now.

    Been nice while it lasted.

According to my notes the historical rates were:

    Natwest:
    Interest changes:
    10th January 2023* 5.12% / 5.00% gross
    14th February 2023 6.17% / 6.00% gross
    30th May 2025 5.50% / 5.37% gross

    RBS
    Interest changes:
    6th December 2022* 5.12% / 5.00% gross
    14th February 2023 6.17% / 6.00% gross
    30th May 2025 5.50% / 5.37% gross

*Rate at time of account opening

Was just finishing up pumping the accounts up to 5k each using round ups and now the rate reduction. Rather disappointing but understandable of course.

Does anybody have a comprehensive list of 2 or more year regular savers (irrespective of the interest rate); a little bit of long term planning is in order... Thanks in advance

Those are the AER figures for those that can leave the interest in to compound.
For those of us already at £5k, we have to siphon off the interest each month. Do you know what the current 6.0% Gross interest is reducing to, as I can’t find it online yet. I imagine it will be around 5.33%
