I closed my Principality 1yr Triple access RS today, a day before maturity.
Interest was £19.88 altogether, (£10.78 of which was added previously)

Can you close it online? Thanks

Yes, click on account services on top of accounts page and you will see close account option.
Mine was closed within a few hours of requesting.
Bank holidays and weekends probably have to wait until next working day.
I was able to open a new 1yr triple access RS today also

Is there an advantage to closing early?

Probably not very much. Maturity was tomorrow, but then its a bank holidays and weekend, so probably would have been tuesday before i could do anything.

My 1Y Triple Access RS was due to mature later this month. I shut mine early largely for the sake of cashflow. Both my HSBC & FD regular savers get funded on 10th so I needed £550 for that. The rest ended up getting paid into Coventry's Loyalty RS Issue 2 not long after midnight today.

It’s a right pain when funds get limited between reg saver maturities.
I’m lucky this year they are spread nicely and I should have a 4k or 5k buffer.
I spoke to principality today re closing & reopening a new triple access.
I decided to wait until Tuesday as will get interest until then.
But was told I should be able to open a new one tomorrow as old one is closed.
    Who know for sure.

Just opened a new Principality 1 year triple access regular saver.
Mine just matured today, not added interest yet, will wait and see.
One other thing, my spreadsheet needed updating as this will be a 2026 reg saver for tax purposes.

Same here. I also attempted to fund it with the first £50 via internal transfer from the matured account (now a maturity saver), but unlike the usual instant transfer, it notified me that it would be executed within 1 business day. Same for the withdraw of most of the funds in that maturity saver.

Agree, it is a right pain when there is a short fall and cash flow is limited.
I had a few easy access accounts with YBS  with various amounts which I've now closed all of them as the interest rates are now not acceptable. This leaves just 3 YBS  regular savers per account, OH and myself and the proceeds will fund the various standing orders for the end of April and May 1st.
April 30th the Chorley BS regular savers matures so that goes part way to funding SOs in May and June 1st - the drought finishes in June, numerous accounts maturing.

But thinking forward to April 2026 the same shortfall will happen as no new accounts have been opened so I need to double check I've not missed a 12 month reg saver

Update - found Principality issue 36 - not the best interest rates but for now it fulfills the criteria of maturing in April 2026.

I’ve done the same. My first ever principality internal transfer. Lesson learned - not going to do this again. I’ve withdrawn the remaining funds to my nominated account and expect money to arrive today because previously weekend withdrawals arrived on the same day.
