Has anyone done the natwest digital saver round up trick? Could they close your savings account or is it just frowned upon. Thanks All
I've only got another two and a half months before I get my NatWest and RBS accounts up to £5k, so probably not worth me bothering
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Yes, I've made a lot of £1.01 payments for double roundups. They won't close your account for doing this - roundups don't violate the t&c, on the contrary - Natwest/RBS encourage customers to use roundups.
I was planning of buying a few carrots for pennies over 4-5 days during my lunch break and using the 5× round-up  which only recently  l discovered. Does anybody think I'll  get a block on the account?
I don't want to push my luck.
I'd be surprised if they had any objections to you buying a few carrots to be honest. They could block your card for any number of reasons, I seem to recall getting a credit card blocked after I spent 1p on a SIM only deal at one point, it was quickly unblocked.

Also  l don't really use the account  only got it for the Regular saver tbh.
Have you got their reward account yet? If not I would open it. They give you £5/mth (though charge a £2 monthly fee, for paying out 2 DDs and logging into the app each month.

The £5/mth in rewards can be paid into the regular saver without it counting to the £150/mth limit.
No reward account, just the standard one. Like l said, it's only used as a conduit for the Regular Saver.

Looks like I'll be eating loads of carrots! :D

I got to 5k in natwest using the 150 pcm and double roundups, then, I just used self checkout at morrisons and put items through individually.  I actually got really quick at it, every day c 10 quid earned.  I personally wouldn't do 1p card transactions although I can see it q tempting.

    NatWest
Do you earn the 6.17% on the amount over £5K?
I thought 5K was the max @ 6.17% with anything over only earning 1.25%

6.17% on £5k only, though if you had £5,050 they would still pay the higher rate on the majority - you don’t get penalised for going over as it were.

5x Roundups are now available so we can conclude that poolboy stopped paying in some time ago, before they were a thing.

Obviously then you would cancel any payments into the account once you have hit the 5k marker?
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

I would, but I suspect some will have gone over in the past by e.g. forgetting to cancel roundups straight away. MSEers are more likely than the general population to remove Standing Orders no longer required, but it does happen sometimes that they have been left, and the situation could easily occur where the last SO takes the balance from say £4,900 to £5,050.

Of course, once you get to £5k, its 6%, not 6.17%, as there's no longer any compounding!
