Candy condenser dryer taking hours!

I have a 7yo Candy Grand Vita condenser dryer which has started playing up and is taking hours to dry a normal load. I thought initially it might be an issue with the sensor as I usually use one of the auto programs, but today I’ve just put it on the timed cycles to test it and I’m currently on hour 5 still with damp clothes!
It’s getting warm, and I’ve cleaned the filters as thoroughly as I can.
Ive got three mucky kids including a weaning baby, I need my dryer! Help! 🙈

Does it have the slide out condenser unit? Have you flushed this through from all sides, preferably outside with a hose, to make sure it's fluff free?0

It just has a box at the bottom with a sponge filter in front of a lime a screen. It’s a heat pump dryer, I think I know what you mean, a bit the size of a shoe box you pull out, but it doesn’t have that as far as I can see. No mention of it in the manual either0

Ah, sorry, I've a Candy Grand Vita that was having similar problems recently that I fixed, but it's not a heat pump model.0

Worth a check around for that shoe size box in case there is one, I often rinse out about half a dog of fluff from mine, not surprisingly works much better after (not your make/ model though)1

I’ve had a good look, and looked it up online and I’m pretty certain it doesn’t have that. All the instructions I can find only show the smaller filter case being removed and cleanedteaselMay said:Worth a check around for that shoe size box in case there is one, I often rinse out about half a dog of fluff from mine, not surprisingly works much better after (not your make/ model though)0 -
If you can, take the top and back off and be prepared to be shocked how much lint may be inside the machine. If it is around the drum it all needs cleaning out.0

What's the model number. Probably on a label just inside the door0
