I have over £16K in savings and also claim Disability Living Allowance. and have done for many years.
Does DLA count as a benefit and does this rule apply to me.

Sadly like a lot of tabloid type articles on benefits they evoke sensationalism and lose accuracy - this is a good example judging by the headline and final line. It ends up causing unnecessary concern for people like you.
Do you claim any other benefits?

Thanks Muttleythefrog I really am most grateful and it's put my mind at rest.As you rightly say it was a 'sensational' article increasing common on yahoo news2
