I have had 2 text messages from Marston debt collectors. The last one had my name on it. The text asks me to click a link? Not sure what it is for as I have no debt. Is this a scam?

Nah, ignore that. Air(sp?) on the side of caution as they say. Personally I wouldn't click a link from any text these days, even if it was from a contact. Writing or emails only for me.Debt @ LBM 01/11/24 - £14,161.59Debt current - £10,845.80

Texting/emails are a cheap way of potentially collecting debts, as they ask you to call them.
If they are genuine, and want to get serious, they will send a letter, unless or until that happens, just delete the texts and ignore them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. There is a text scam that we have discussed in the past that contains multiple errors. This might be one of them.
One giveaway is that the scam text does not use the correct company name which is Marston Holdings or Marston Recovery

If they say Marston debt collectors it's 100% scam0 -
Of course it's possible that they might not have your correct address but do have you mobile number. And face it it's basically no cost to them to text as opposed to spending time looking for a new address and posting something.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards.
