Thank you, just spotted this update, as had a few things on mind

So the other day, I did all the updates.  I then got back saying they'd updated the records and saying we'd been overpaid by about £220 in September.

On looking at it though, the new calculations they did still didnt show the higher rate due to enhanced PIP, and still £156.11 so I contacted them saying this

The day after, Friday 3rd, I had a response "I will send this to a decision maker to look at backdating."

So hopefully it will be updated and correct some point soon, and at least I'll get a small amount backdated for last couple of missing months and give me something for the remaining few months

I'm on the assumption however, that once my 1 year period of migration to UC ends, that I'll be entitled to nothing at all due to the having over £16k in savings

Honestly though, it kicks me that I didnt push for the higher amount of DLA a few years ago when my daughter finally received it.  To be honest, around that time I was just so glad to finally have had an official diagnosis and then to have been receiving something as it took several years, but her conditions were definitely worsening that she really should've been on higher even back then.  Unfortunately I didnt look at the bigger picture other than the DLA amount itself, that it would increase other benefits - so its a bit of a kicker how much effectively lost out on over the years - but oh well

Pushing for a higher DLA award doesn't mean you will necessarily receive it. Plenty of claimants overestimate the awards they think they should receive.

Could you please clarify which components of PIP your daughter gets? Daily Living - enhanced or standard rate?Mobility - enhanced or standard rate? In UC, Higher Rate Disabled Child addition applies only to enhanced rate daily living component of PIP.
    What age is your daughter?
What level of course is she studying? Is this further education or higher education?
Other things to think about are going to be becoming an appointee for benefits and possibly a guardianship/ POA if she lacks capacity.

    Thanks all,

Its finally sorted, and as @kaMelo stated, well near enough, the new amount is £181.10 on the most recent statement (unless that is just a single one), also received a seperate underpayment letter stating total of £541

After I updated them saying they didnt add on the enhanced amount, it had to go to a decision maker, where I then eventually got some warning saying I didnt inform them of the changes, but the "appeal" was changed under exceptional circumstances (well to be honest I didnt know we had to let them know when it changed from DLA to PIP - and in my defence it originally changed in october at only low rate, but after MR she got enhanced for both mobility and daily living in the last few weeks as it took the MR quite a while to go through

@Northern_Wanderer She's 16 now and in college.  I believe my partner is the appointee for daughter as she was the one dealing with the claim and the mandatory reconsideration etc

Shame after all this I think its going to stop in May when the 12month transition period is up :(
