Question balance transfer Credit card, 0 % spending balance (how is purchase interest calcuated)

it should show an order of allocation for payments somewhere under key facts of the card or within statements

Also check the cards T&Cs to determine what constitutes "paying the balance off in full" as to whether purchase interest will be charged for any purchases made on the card that are not at promotional rate. It seems some providers exclude any promotional rate balances in which case you can spend on them. However, some don't, and the entire balance - including any promotional balance transfers - must be paid in full to avoid paying interest on purchases for that month as I've just discovered the hard way.
