DFS returns

We bought a sofa 8 months ago which is on finance and we have had someone out from DFS 3 times, twice repaired and the third time I refused due to the same issue failing each time it was repaired.
I have now lost faith and want to swap the sofa for a different one but not sure what my rights are.
I thought that the sofa was made in the UK which I was lead to believe but I now know that this was made in China and I'm  ot happy with the quality in comparison to a sofa I had previously from DFS, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Did you discover the fault within the first six months from delivery? if so it's presumed to have been there from the time you received it, unless the retailer can prove otherwise. You are entitled to ask for a refund but
the retailer can make a deduction from any refund for fair use after the first six months of ownership if an attempt at a repair is unsuccessful.

If I were you I wouldn't ask to swap the sofa for a different one, tell them you want a refund. You are correct about sofas being made in China. I waited 14 weeks for mine to be delivered, poor quality not the same as those in the showroom and mine was delivered damaged and DFS were a nightmare to deal with. As I paid on a credit card I raised a Section 75 claim. Contact DFS before contacting the finance company.
