Another quiet day for me yesterday though I suspect that many others still had visitors and family to keep them occupied. I really enjoyed my leftovers and have more than enough for today. Some meat will have to go into the freezer as it could go on for much longer.I spent day writing overdue emails and rewatching some programmes. The Big Sleep was on and I really tried to follow the story but gave up as it got so convoluted. Even reading about the plot on Wikipedia gave me a brain tangle. 😀
My only plan for today is to take away my rubbish and, if the weather isn't too horrid, have a little walk. I hope that everyone is able to have some peace today. Hugs to all.14 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It looks damp out there this morning.
We had an ok day yesterday, went for a walk just to get out of the house, plenty of people seemed to be doing the same.
I've had a terrible night, I'll be relying on coffee to keep me going.
Dh has a medical appt this afternoon for a hormone injection - I don't think he'll be seeing the consultant today. I don't think all his scan results will be back yet.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Thinking of Mehefin, Silver-Oldie, YorksLass and anyone else who is sad or poorly.
Take care folks.

Morning all. Thanks for the start Gers.Really foggy out there this morning. Might go to see what's in the sales today. Also need some lemonade from the supermarket. Apart from that we'll be having leftovers for dinner and some choccies too. Bought a dessert for Boxing Day in A**i. By the time I opened the box and took the plastic away from it it was barely half the size of what I was expecting. What a take on.Hope everyone has a peaceful day today x14

Morning all
Still foggy here, it didn’t lift all day - my least favourite type of weather.
A quick trip to the shops for a few supplies , old family friends coming later, fish pie to make and more presents to swap.Nothing else on the cards - I’ve had three nights of almost unbroken sleep but feel more tired than ever!Take care all

Morning folks and thanks GERS. What a gloomy start here, barely light and thick fog. Spring still seems a long way away.
Well it's all over, bar the shouting here.. After two chaotic and noisy days at DD's I am now looking forward to a couple of days peace and quiet at home. I have some washing on the go which will festoon the upstairs and for some silly reason last night I got a gammon joint out to defrost. Why when I have loads of stuff in the fridge to eat up I don't know! Anyway that is now in the sc and when it's cool enough I shall slice it and put most of it back in the freezer! Once the washing has been dealt with it will then be a feet up lazy day eating picky bits and watching stuff I recorded on CDay and BDay..and probably falling asleep.
I hope you can have a lovely day folks whatever you are doing. ((HUGS)) as always for the poorlies, fed up and worried or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Good morning, very foggy here also.
Today venturing out to the supermarket for bread and any bargains that fall into the trolley. Other than that still using up leftovers. Taff, thank you for the suggestion for using up my beef, will definitely give that a try.
Off to shower now and start the day. Have a good one all.

Morming all, thanks Gers. I didn't get on here yesterday, it was Xmas part 2 as DS2 had the DGC. They did their present unwrapping there, and then all came over just after 10 for more of the same, had turkey sandwiches etc. I gave DS2 some of the turkey & gammon to take home, alongside a tub of apple sauce. I'll have to deal with what's left today, it was a whopper. They went back home to change ready to go for the football match then DS1 & I picked them up _ DH felt he still wasn't ready yet for the steps & watched at home.I think we'll have a quietish day today, we might walk up to the park cafe, but it is still foggy.I haven't read back on yesterdays thread yet so hope all is well, & wish you a good day.

Morning all. I think yesterday's mist has cleared; not sure it quite made it to fog status!
We had a very enjoyable time dancing at the pub yesterday. Luckily we were there before opening time so got a seat inside for a while and then we cleared a space on the large patio to dance, which went on until after 2pm, so we were later than planned getting to DD's. We then had food, Secret Santa and present exchange then had drinks and games for some time after that. DSiL had bought a new, interactive quiz game, that he was able to link to the tv so that we all saw it on the big screen and it was great fun. Can't remember what it was called but one of the 6 categories was current news items and we reckon that AI was used to get the questions, as they were very up to date. We'll see what the questions are in a few weeks time as it should always refresh itself, not like the board games where you have the same questions for years.
Today I'll be popping out for a few things, including fresh milk, then we'll be eating the remainder of our Christmas dinner but with fresh roast potatoes. We were a little disappointed with our order, which came frozen from a recommended butcher in Scotland, so won't be using them again.
Wishing everyone well, including the poodles! I'll always think of that with affection

Good morning all
Thank you for the start @Gers
It's all over for another year.
I was going out for a walk but it's still quite foggy.
Lots of jobs about the house I've been putting of so might make a start, (or might not !!)
Take care
