Good evening everyone,
Spent a couple of hours stewing some more pears and baby apples from the trees. We will eat these with our breakfast and with custard.Dinner was left over curry with us Nann bread and ys falafel.Took some jeans back to the shops as my DH doesn't like button holes. Bought two pairs of jeans for DH for Christmas. Got £20 off if you bought two plus I received an email that gave me another 20% off, so it bought the cost down to a slightly more expectable price - in line with cheaper jeans elsewhere. I will keep my eye out in the sales for another greatly reduced pair that I will snuffle away for his birthday. I need to get into the cs to look out for shorts in his size. I would buy his trousers there but he is a 34 inch inside leg and I never see any in the cs.Have folded up and put away DH fleeces, ready to sell at a boot fair. They are causing skin irritation on his arms, he is a delicate sole.Bought 10 hazelnut and choc wafers from Lindt today. They were 50% off plus I had a £5 voucher. So I paid £1.70.
DH picked up a tin of marmalade concentrate from Lakeland. £4. So, I will be making some marmalade before the week is out.Have a good day tomorrow.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Edit to above photo: I couldn't type in a comment after adding the photo, sorry.
This is two Lidl veg boxes this morning. There was a big pile. We mainly needed fruit, hence the choice of two 'fruity' boxes. I also wanted lettuce and broccoli, so I was a happy bunny.
There have been quite a few packs of herbs in recent boxes, so I am challenging myself to use them all. I made a roasted pepper and parsley pesto penne recipe:

I am going to use the coriander to make salsa for bean quesadillas and carrot and coriander soup. I will need to google ideas for the thyme.11 -
I always add thyme when I am making stock, it really enhances the flavourIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!9

When I was in Lid! tonight they had poured three veg boxes into one. I didn't buy it as it was full of a) bags of tiny sprouts same size as small grapes b) Around ten bunches of spring onions c) one orange c) lots of packets of kiwi fruits - pretty squishy. My DH is not a lover of kiwi or sprouts and there was no way that I could get through that lot.Busy with Mum today - shopping, ironing, stripping bed plus two meetings. Got a free pastry from Lid!2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

It has been a different day today, started with a blood test at 9am. Then popped round to the P0st Office Depot to pick up a parcel. One part was missing so I had to contact the site that I ordered it from. Thankfully they responded very quickly and sent out the missing items. When I got home I realised that one of my boots has a hole developing in the sole. I would have got a new sole and heel put on but part of the top part of the boot started peeling and the sole was also starting to come away from the boot. So in the bin they have gone.Next, I tried a new to us Dys0n corded hoover. I bought it off a friend's daughter who moved to abroad for £20. It is one that you pull. I prefer an upright hoover, I had my previous Dys0n for 17 years but alas a part kept falling off because another part has broken so sadly, we have binned it. I would have liked a cordless one but I won't justify it when we have a working corded one in the house. The small attachment was great for cleaning the wardrobes and skirting boards. 😊At lunch time, we had an engineer arrive to fit smart meters. I have placed it in the kitchen as I don't want to watch it whilst chilling out in the lounge. Saying that, it is interesting watching the meter when you turn the oven on / open / close the oven door whilst it is on.
This afternoon, I made a sponge cake. Three eggs needed using up. Butter icing in the freezer needed using up. I placed h/m blackberry and apple jam inside.Early dinner as we didn't have lunch. H/m bbq chicken pizza with onion and peppers with h/m coleslaw and salad. Now on the sofa crocheting. A non-electrical hobby 😃
Hope everyone is having a good day.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons
