Unsuccessful BT/EE TV renewal

My BT broadband / TV contract came to an end very recently so I rang to renew. Was put onto EE package (as they’ve now merged) Specifically told the guy I wanted to keep all the sports channels that I already had but not fussed with the films or entertainment channels. He came back with a quote for Sports pkg and fibre broadband which I pointed out was a lot lower than what I was currently paying! Yes he said, we still have some of our Black Friday deals.
After a few days, and setting up my new EE box, I realised I only had TNT and Eurosports, NOT the Sky Sports package I asked for.
Rang them on Sunday, was told a manager would listen to the original call and ring me back on Tuesday morning. I didn’t get that call so chased. Was told I just have to wait, they can’t raise a new callback. They also added that there was a note saying that I could have the cancellation fee waived as I’ve been mis-sold. But a manager would still be ringing me back.
By late afternoon I rang again as it’s Christmas eve by now and wanted it sorted!
Was told my complaint had been closed as I’d been told about the cancellation fee waiver. I repeatedly asked to speak to a manager but as they don’t know which office location the manager was originally going to ring me from (asked if I knew which office I got through to?) they can’t raise a new call back from a new manager!? What a ridiculous system!
After going through current deals to get the channels I want, because they now can’t offer me the deals that were available at the time I rang originally, and even though I tried to get the lower price for ‘new’ customer as per their website. He kept saying I have the option to cancel. So I have!
What a debacle! Apart from the money side, how can they run a complaint system that only works for the specific office location you originally get through to and don’t make a note of it themselves?!
Anyone have any advice if I can still take the complaint further?
(I am still looking for broadband and sports deals but happy to look elsewhere entirely if needed. I have Freesat and Netflix for other stuff)
Thanks
