Morning
So I actually finished off on Wednesday with £204 🥳🥳
Yesterday, didn’t reach my target though. Only got £68.43. I did sell something on Facebook for £30, but won’t count that.Problem is I’m running out of stuff to list. Been dropping prices on what I have, but need new stock.I’m not back at work until Wednesday evening so will try to get buying.Emz xx4 -
Hi everyone
What a month to start the year!! Had problems with my mum and getting a carer in (sorted now for 2 days a week, but she’s not happy about it) and then my MIL had a nasty fall which resulted in an emergency hip replacement. She was in hospital for a week and is very limited for the time being as to what she can do - hence lots of running around.I’m going to have to start again on my debt in February. Need to completely overhaul my reselling too as that’s going very badly. Seems that all I ever do is run around after other people. Oh, and my trusty MacBook has given up too ☹️
No point wallowing. I need a plan.

Sorry it's been a tough month, hope February improves!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Hi Everyone
Unfortunately, February has not gone any better. Through events that I didn't know about and that I had no part in, I had to resign from my part time job of 10 years last week. Could I have fought it? Quite possibly. Do have it in me to put up a fight at the moment? No I don't!! My top level of dealing with crap was reached probably about a year ago and has not gotten any better since then. I just couldn't face dealing with something else. For the sake of the 9 hours a week that I did at work, it was just simpler and less stressful to quit.
I was actually planning on quitting before Christmas last year, but decided to stay on to help towards the rent and paying off debts. I was also getting fed up with customers staring at me and making dumb comments because `I've got my oxygen cannula on (mainly kids, but quite a few adults too who should know better and mind their own business). I will miss the money, but have to say it has been nice not going in this week, especially as it's half term and there would have been lots of kids to deal with.
So the rest of February is about trying to recover and get a plan in place. This year hasn't started off the way I had hoped, but what's done is done and I just need to move on and try to adapt to my new full-time self-employed status.

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear you’ve left but think of the positives, no customers, no exposure to thousands of germs and 9 hours back to help with your selling.Sealed pot challenge 822

Sorry to hear about the job, that's a shame. I agree that one benefit will be not having to deal with people!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Evening
Having spent the last week coming to terms with resigning, next week is about getting stuck in and turning this year around (only 2 months in, but it's been fairly crappy so far).
Some things I want to achieve this coming week starting Monday:- List 10 items on eBay and Vinted every day.
- See how much I can earn on Prolific in a week (just weekdays as weekends tend to be pretty dead on there) - I need to figure out what income opportunities I can use to replace my wages (£108 a week). I'm aiming for £50 from Prolific, but don't know if that's possible week in week out.
- Go through my wardrobe and pull out 10 things to either list on ebay or Vinted. Try to get £50 from those.
- Catch up with the laundry
- Do 30 minutes of house work a day.

Morning
Day one of my fresh start yesterday.
1. Managed to list 10 items on ebay and Vinted - left it a bit late in the day to get them done, but I managed it. Need to be more organised in future, although I did have to take my MIL to the fracture clinic yesterday morning, which took up 3 hours.
Not a great day for sales, but I'm hoping that will improve if I keep consistent with the listings - £47.41 on ebay and £14.30 on Vinted.
2. I reached my target for the day on Prolific - £11.54 worth of surveys. There was an £8 survey in that which helped a lot!!
3. I listed a pair of Skechers from my wardrobe, but that's it so far.
4. No laundry done (will get a load done today)
5. No housework done - I've hurt my back and it's not easy to do stuff at the moment, so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Right, going to get my parcels packaged (3 so far) and will then start with my listings so I'm not doing them at 10pm. Keeping an eye on Prolific too.

Morning
1. Did my 10 listings on eBay and Vinted again. Not seeing any sign of improving sales yet, but just need to keep consistent. Actually did worse than Monday - £44.79 on eBay and £10 on Vinted.
2. Didn't make it to £10 on Prolific, but did do £7.10 worth of surveys - so my total for the week so far is £18.64 which is not too far under.
3. Took 5 make-up/toiletry items from my wardrobe and listed on Vinted. Not for much, but it all adds up if they sell.
4. Still not got that load of laundry done
5. Still need to do some housework.
Got 4 parcels to pack and need to do the mum run today.
Also trying to drink more water. I've got the hospital 3 weeks today, so I'm aiming to drink 2 litres of water a day until then to see if it makes a difference with my test results etc. They are always on at me to drink more water. I'm already on my second 500ml this morning.
