Finally it’s OH’s payday - so £100 sent towards my oxygen debt - £1,100 to go. I’ve done a list of when future payments need to be paid to get it clear by the end of January.Sales were shocking yesterday. Nothing on eBay and a £5 sale on Vinted. I did manage my 10 listings on each though. That’s all I can do for now and hope the sales start to come in.Work last night (so busy) and again tonight and tomorrow evening. Also got to do the food shop and do the mum run today (what my sister and I call going to my mum’s to dish out her meds and make her lunch).Have a good day everyone

Had to smile at the ‘mum run’ … we call ours this as well!I help care for the Older Ones in our family, one of whom is in a care home, so several times a week we’re on mum runs which include appointments, shopping, taking her to visit the other in the care home and general ferrying about for errands!
I hope you’re able to get your mum’s care needs and package sorted, try not don’t wear yourself out doing it all, it’s important to take care of you too. Is it worth asking for a Carers Assessment for yourself? This can lead to an extra pot of funds (annual payment, applied for each year) which might be useful for you? I’ve just helped one Older One apply for this on account of caring for the other and it’s resulted in £200 which will be useful for taxis when I can’t give lifts and a few treats for them. Could be worth asking if you’re talking to Adult Social Care anyway?Wishing you all the best in 2025, S&R x
I wonder how many other people do a “Mum Run”!!!! 😂
We’ve got a care assessment for my mum a week Monday. I’m also going for my own hospital appointment on Tuesday next week and my CF team have a great social worker who I’m sure will help me look into things like that, so thank you. I’ve also got to apply for Attendance Allowance for my mum.Happy New Year to you

Morning
Firstly the bad from yesterday - I missed my listings target. Only 7 done on eBay and 4 on Vinted. Bit annoying but I just ran out of time. Now the good - sales were way better. £158.45 and £5 on Vinted 🥳🥳🥳
That’s more like it. That eBay figure includes postage money, but that’s what I’m aiming for, over £100 a day. There was a decent overnight sale too, so I’m already on £47.21 today.Might not get the chance to do my listings today either as we usually go out on Saturdays and then I’m at work this evening. I will get some done at least after work. Better to list a few than none at all.Emz xx5 -

Morning everyone. Posting quickly before going to my sister’s for the day. We both do the mum run on Sundays, usually after dropping my niece at work.Yesterday I just made my target on eBay - £101.95 and £7 on Vinted. I’m already on £19.68 on eBay this morning, so let’s see if I can get 3 days in a row over £100.Paid that £100 off my oxygen debt, so that’s down to £1,000 and I’m on track to pay that off by month end.I decided that as yesterday was a busy day, I’d do 5 listings on eBay and 5 on Vinted. I’ll aim for the same today as I’m with family all day.

Evening
Been a rough couple of days. Had some unexpected expenses that have winded us financially and I had the hospital yesterday, which I always dread(went fine though). We’ve had to dip into our rent money, so need to build that back up ASAP. Payments to my debt will have to wait ☹️
Rent is due on 19th. Had no eBay sales yesterday (£17 on Vinted) and only £45 on Monday. It’s not looking good.So I got up early this morning and started work. My aim is to get £100 on eBay a day for the next 10 days.Day one is nearly over, and I got………..£193.83!!!!!!
Tomorrow is another day and I’m not counting anything over to the next day - has to be £100 a day.Emz xx4 -
