MorningDid a lot of sorting out yesterday and still have more to do today. Took 2 bags of stuff to the charity shop and sold £45 on eBay and £48 on Vinted.Need to start planning how to approach reselling for next year. I don’t actually have loads of stock so need to be sourcing more and from different places. Will start trying to come up with a plan over the next couple of days.No big plans tonight. Just staying in. Have a good one everybody and see you next year.Emz xx4

Well done on the sales.

Happy New Year everyone - could this be the year I finally get debt free? 😬
I have a few aims for January:
1. Pay off £1,200 oxygen loan
2. List 10 items on eBay daily (want to see if consistency helps with sales)
3. List 10 items on Vinted daily (great for getting rid of lower price items or stuff that just won’t sell)
4. Record all my sales, income and expenditure properly (always struggle with this, which causes me more work later on in the year)
5. Try to come up with a way to keep the house in a good state despite having to do a million things and having rubbish lungs 😵💫
Unfortunately I can’t make any payments to the debt until Friday when my OH gets paid. Already got £36 worth of overtime booked in for January.

Do you use Vinted for non clothing items? I've got a lot of lower priced stuff that I might try if it's any good."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Morning
Finally it’s OH’s payday - so £100 sent towards my oxygen debt - £1,100 to go. I’ve done a list of when future payments need to be paid to get it clear by the end of January.Sales were shocking yesterday. Nothing on eBay and a £5 sale on Vinted. I did manage my 10 listings on each though. That’s all I can do for now and hope the sales start to come in.Work last night (so busy) and again tonight and tomorrow evening. Also got to do the food shop and do the mum run today (what my sister and I call going to my mum’s to dish out her meds and make her lunch).Have a good day everyone

Had to smile at the ‘mum run’ … we call ours this as well!I help care for the Older Ones in our family, one of whom is in a care home, so several times a week we’re on mum runs which include appointments, shopping, taking her to visit the other in the care home and general ferrying about for errands!
I hope you’re able to get your mum’s care needs and package sorted, try not don’t wear yourself out doing it all, it’s important to take care of you too. Is it worth asking for a Carers Assessment for yourself? This can lead to an extra pot of funds (annual payment, applied for each year) which might be useful for you? I’ve just helped one Older One apply for this on account of caring for the other and it’s resulted in £200 which will be useful for taxis when I can’t give lifts and a few treats for them. Could be worth asking if you’re talking to Adult Social Care anyway?Wishing you all the best in 2025, S&R x
