Just what it says - a portable external hard drive powered by USB (from the PC).
Link here if anyone is interested http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-160GB-Elements-External/dp/B000RQU0TS/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1199190201&sr=8-1
Several others around at £49.99 (seems to be the magic price) but at 120Gb only.
Cheers

The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

Does anyone know if this IS a good deal?
In terms of Gb/£'s and the type.
I know I posted it, but I actually know very little about external hard drives, and it is the cheapest I've seen for months. The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.0 -
I wouldn't say it was a great bargain, I would check those dimensions though surely they cant be right? I have one of the small black Western Digital hard drives and its brilliant being self powered saves a lot of hassle and fits in jacket pocket weighing only about same as my phone ie not much. Thanks

Have you seen any other deals around? Cheaper price for similar or higher Gb for same? The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.0 -
Wouldn't this one be a better buy? (extra fiver, but it looks smaller and neater)

or this one, works out cheaper per GB

I'm also looking to get a portable external HD so any comments from actual users would be great!0 -

This is a 3.5" disk drive not a 2.5" unit it needs mains power! The others on this thread are based on 2.5" disk drives that draw their power from the USB port are small enough to fit into a shirt pocket.Seth.0
