My friend has this morning been awarded lcwra and would like if someone could advise when her 1st payment of the extra money will be paid.
Migrated to UC on 5th Aug
1st fitnote submitted 7th Aug ( dated 5th Aug)
Assessment period 2nd -8th
No gaps in fitnotes
I cannot make head nor tail of it but I know one of you will have the knowledge. Many thanks in advance.

What does the award letter say?0

The assessment period dates don't make sense as the AP is one calendar month (30 days) and starts from the date you first apply.
What date does she usually get her payment?0 -

Assuming the migration date mentioned, 5th August, is the day they completed their UC claim then their assessment period would be the 5th - 4th every month.
Reported a health condition on the 7th and submitted a fit note, this would mean the first assessment period is not counted (August-September). Then three full assessment periods, (Sept-Oct, Oct-Nov, Nov-Dec) before payment is due in the next assessment period (Dec-Jan). With an assessment period of 5th - 4th any payment due would be on or around 11th January.
This assumes they weren't in the support group of ESA, if they were in the support group of ESA immediately prior to migration then LCWRA should be applied in the first assessment period and payable from the first payment.1 -
I believe the first AP will be August/September as you have 7 days to submit the first Fit Note after reporting the health condition.
That would make November/December the first qualifying AP for the LCWRA element to be payable**If she has Transitional Protection on the claim, it will reduce by the LCWRA amount.*If she has Carers Element in her name on the claim, LCWRA will replace this as the same person cannot get both.*If she has a partner on the claim who gets LCWRA, no money will be paid as within a couple the maximum number of LCWRA elements is 1.3 -
Sorry if I confused anyone with dates....I only repeated what my friend text to me
. I think you are all great to reply and I will pass on what is said here.
KxMx no transitional protection, no partner, but I think she may get carers element for her mother.
Thank you to all of you for taking time out to answer. Merry Christmas to all you lovely people
PS my friend is a little ditsy who can trip over her own feet so the dates are probably completely wrong but I get the gist of it. Oh and shes not had a letter yet just something on her journal.

For UC letters tend to be posted on the journal. So if what she's had was in letter format telling her they've awarded LCWRA, then that'll be it.
