It seems I am part or a large group of people that is making a claim through a uk law firm. I have been assured that it is no win no fee. If I pull out at this stage and the case loses then I may be liable for court fees.If I stay in then I am protected by the insurance that the law firm has taken out. I have asked for this in writing. Any opinions would be of interest. Thank you

If you pull out before any court action, how could you possibly be liable for court fees? Has the case already been raised through the court procedure? If so, then that would explain your liability but I guess the amount would be fairly small. Why not just stay in? what have you got to lose?

We inadvertently signed up with 2 Law Firms fir the same claims in March and April last year.
On discovering we had joined 2 we have tried to cancel one. They have said we will be liable for all costs up till now as we have gone over the 14 day cooling off period.
They do not seem to be able to tell us what those costs are...
Are we liable and how much would it be to withdraw?0 -
