Hello,
I bought a new speaker thinking it was a Bluetooth speaker. Unfortunately it isn't and it's too late to change it before Christmas.
The speaker has something called 5 way binding posts which don't seem to fit an 3.5 jack in.
I am buying a Bluetooth audio receiver which you will see on the pic attached. This has RCA connectors. The problem is have is i can't seem to find a cable that goes from the rca to the speakers. Would I be able to use the rca cable it comes with, cut off the 3.5 jack, strip back the wire and wrap this around the binding posts? Or is there a different cable i should be looking for?
Thanks.

That looks like a passive speaker which requires an amplifier to drive it.2

You need to drive those speakers from an amplifier. Trying to connect the receiver directly to the speakers will result in absolutely no sound.1

As the earlier poster mentioned, those are indeed passive speakers, so you'll need an amplifier to drive them.

Ok thank you all. I will have to box it up and return it after Christmas.0

The speaker specification tells you what's needed - an amplifier with power output in range from 25W to 200W. Something like the 75W Denon PMA-600NE has Bluetooth connectivity and will drive the Polks (£350 from Richer Sounds so price appropriate for the Polks)1
