TSB Credit card - we're closing your account in Feb

Anyone else had a letter saying this, that due to lack of activity, they're closing your account?
The weird thing is they had a promotion where you had to use the card X times for a £10 high street voucher.
I did this at the end of November. Still awaiting the voucher (I paid off the credit card almost within days) which was due to be paid in January 2025.
And yet still got this letter.
Bit weird

Not a TSB customer in any sense but it shows online as still advertising for new customers.

They do tend to close cards if not being regularly used.
OP you might have been better off letting a statement get generated rather than paying it immediately.0 -
I had best use it then, last time was August. Was there a message in the on line in box or was the letter the only notice ?

I've had the same letter. It wasn't a surprise because I haven't used the card for at least two years.0

As a customer you have to understand even if you do not use the card there is still a liability to the bank - as they have to have their own funds to meet any spending you may do on it. By closing unused accounts they are conducting a tidy up scheme for their books.
Do not take it personally - just open a new account elsewhere - especially if you are financially induced to do so - Merry Xmas.1 -
My mum received a closure letter as well (which is surprising due to how the post is so shocking there!) as another data point that there may be a fair few customers affected.0
