Have gone into and turned off iplayer from start up, but can't find a way to do same with 4od, looks like I will have to hope that works from startup menu.

Despite keep clearing iplayer from starting at start up it keeps putting itself back into the iplayer preferences even though I saved the changes, and into the taskbar, I am also getting 4od in the taskbar,(can't find anywhere to turn off unless I totally remove it!), and AdobephotoDownloader as well.

Can I remove "Khost" ? will that help?

I think (I'm not 100%) that khost will start when the software starts, if its not already started. Thus if it doesn't run on startup, when you open 4od, it'll start it for you.

Can't guarantee this but you could easily test it - stop it in msconfig, restart the machine, and see if it starts. If it doesn't, open 4od and see if it works.

As I understand it, khost is the bit that shares video you've downloaded, with other people..the system the iplayer, 4od, and sky's on demand system uses, shares whatever you download, with other people who want the same - to save capacity and bandwidth on the servers at the bbc, ch4, etc..
