Morning all
Another day of being wiped out yesterday with D&V I finished cleaning the kitchen and then went back to bed and slept for most of the afternoon I got up at 6 managed to eat a few chips and a couple of shortbread and then back to bed where I slept all night again, I feel a bit better this morning which is good as I have to take mum and get the Christmas food we are going to Tesco as mum has a gift voucher to use, I might nip into Lidl as well to stock up on wine.
I have stripped the beds this morning and got them on a hot wash OH will re-make them later, the house is clean and will just need a quick hoover and straighten up tomorrow.
Not sure about dinner tonight maybe Fahitas as I have some chicken to use.
Scarlett I hope all goes well today xxx
DP1 I hope little one has the best day xxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, it's dry but brrr very cold and still only 4 degrees now, we even had the council gritter up our road last night.
This morning I have stripped the bed and put the bedding in the washing machine, I'm going to clean upstairs then remake the bed later. I found my large meat plates too so the meats can come out of the freezer and defrost ready for cooking tomorrow. I have stuffing to make and some beetroot to pickle, the DW to empty then the bins to put out but I'm trying not to be such a clumsy idiot and will take my time. I'll rope in Mr Fix It to help too.
Tea tonight will be our xmas tradition of a Chinese takeaway and there's always enough left over for xmas eve too 😂
Scarlet I hope the bone scan goes ok today, hugs to you both.
Take care if you have to go out into the bun fight today. Hugs to anyone in need and get well soon to the poorly ones.

Morning all. It's calmer weather here too today, grey with a moderate breeze and light rain expected from midday.
@Scarlet - Good luck with DH's bone scan today; I hope you can enjoy Xmas without thinking too much about the results.
Rest up @TA, the jobs can wait.
Thanks for the carol @-taff. I see you have another busy day - slow down woman!
Yesterday I got the mince pies made and of course I had to sample one for quality control purposes. They're rather good if I may say so and I've squirrelled some away in the freezer before they do a disappearing act.My tootsies really appreciated the DIY pedicure and they're ready for the scrum at the SM. DS is picking me up any time now (I am ready) and will drop me off while he goes off to do other things, then come back to collect me. If he takes longer than expected, I can always treat myself to a coffee in their cafe while I'm waiting. The shopping list is somewhat longer than I thought it would be
but if I don't get everything on it it's not a disaster. As @IzzyBee says, we'll not starve.
Tea tonight is what's left of yesterdays savoury mince, either in taco shells with some salad or in Yorkshire puddings.
Enjoy your day, I hope the sleepless manage some naps. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.12 -
Just popping in to say Merry Greetings to all.
And to proudly announce that the decs are in the halls at chez Brie! Well a few things anyways - festive table cloth on the table, wreath in the hall, the star that should be at the top of the tree is on what used to be MiL's bedroom door. There's a jolly bear santa with a ridiculously tall hat statute on the dining room hearth and both stockings have been laid out with care. (fyi - bear is about 5 inches high and the hat adds another 10.) No tree unless him indoors decides to haul it out but I doubt that will happen which is fine by me. Wouldn't mind if he comes home from shopping with a poinsettia.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
