I hope that you both have a successful day at the vets and that you have remembered to get your dog a special reward for puting up with being poked and prodded at.

My dog had to have a toe amputated because he had a dew claw growing into it which no one noticed until too late and despite numerous creams /antibiotics etc he still had the op. he was a new dog afterwards and went on to terrorise the neighbours dog for many years- so good luck its not all bad.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Ouch, poor Woofer!
Well done on the 11 NSDs, I wish I could say the same!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Thanks V. Got to take him in about half hour but I'm pretty sure he'll need an amputation. Vet said if the infection hasn't gone in a fortnight (today) then it will need to be done.
He's right in the wars poor thing. Dunno how he's gonna be able to walk either coz he's a big old boy! :undecided
Pay day isn't for ages yet!
 :rotfl: 0 -
Awwww poor woofer
Hope they can prevent an amputation
Our family woofer is on his last legs ... he has advanced heart disease and it isn't looking hopeful at all as he keeps having funny turns and his heart is beating too fast. He is confused as well and short of breath. He has cataracts in both eyes and is deaf
*sigh*
He is nearly 13 so he is a very old woofer, think we will have to let him go soon *sob*Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Awww I'm sorry to hear that Mrs S.
Make sure you appreciate him and spoil him as much as you can while you have him. I'm an absolute sucker for animals. We all agree in this household that we'd miss him more than anyone else if they went! :rotfl:0 -
Well we've been given a 2 week reprieve if you like. Another fortnight of anitbiotics but stronger ones. Seriously, these b*ggers are the size of flying saucers! :rotfl:
God knows how we're gonna get him to eat them as he's become suspicious of cheese now! I suggested buying a big chocolate cake!

Have you tried a jam sarnie SS, or peanut butter (anything sticky) - it works a treat with our dog
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

crush them between two spoons and then put the power either in food you KNOW he will eat for sure or mix it up with something with a very taste, that he can lick off your fingers.
I never could get the hang of chucking them down Ben's neck (my dog, the best dog EVER)
xxxNevertheless she persisted.0
