Sorry to hear you've had a bad day SS. Hope your woofit is ok...mine has had a toe removed of a front paw and one off a back one and apart from holding the front one up and looking pathetic she's doing fine. Just so you know some people do have it worse than you...i'm watching QVC as there's nothing else to watch on telly....now, that is a bad day! xx0

But they're resilent little sods animals aren't they? If it was us we'd be moaning for weeks. They just get on with it!
I know he'll be alright if he has the toe off. I'm just worried that the infection has spread further. I wish the vet hadn't told me that bit.
I don't think he was insuating it had spread, just that it'd be better to remove the toe rather than risk losing the leg. But you can't stop you're mind going into overdrive can you?
Please never mention QVC on this thread again!

Your dog will be fine - only reasons toes etc get amputated is the blood flow round them isn't great - legs are a different kettle of fish.
