Well it's all dependant on different scenarios.

Worst case is paying my set £1k a month which will be January 2009. If/when I make more from matched betting it will bring it forward but it's not guaranteed! :undecided

Absolutely not guaranteed - it will require more than flirting with everyone, thats for sure! :smileyhea

What's the average overpayment these last six months or so? It only needs to be £100 a month, and you've brought it into 2008!!! You can do that from matched betting, what with arbs as well. Go ss!:A

Well the target is an extra £500 a month and to be honest I should be able to achieve it bearing in mind I've nearly already made Aprils money. That will take the date to September/October.

    Hey wiggles. :)

I certainly feel like I've 'served' my time. I just want to be rid of it now to be honest. I know that sounds really obvious but even though it is a b!tch I feel it's been an invaluable education.

I can't believe how long it's been either. I could never have envisaged breaking the £30k barrier and here I am now, totally free of any credit card debt!

And we really must flirt more often. ;)
  • I know what you mean about wanting rid of it, the last few payments of any loan/debt are always a bit frustrating, you'll be scrounging down the backs of sofas for a few extra quid just to get it over with that bit quicker!

Have you any thoughts on treating yourself to something when you are debt-free? I know you wanna save for your own place, but you should splash out on something nice first(once you have match-betted enough to pay the balance in full of course ;))

and theres 3 weeks till FB gets home so flirt away ;) (I can't promise he won't be stalking my posts though! :p :rotfl:)

Do you know what? I don't especially want anything. I've done all the 'treating myself' thing and look where it got me. I know it will be different this time. And maybe it's the fear of buying uncessary's that makes me not want to but I'm just not bothered by material possesions anymore.

I can't pretend to go without coz I don't. If there is something I really want I will buy it but I've become such a grumpy old sod I'd rather save my money! :rotfl:

Maybe I'll treat myself to a nice TV when/if I get my own gaff! You'll have to come round and be impressed by it's size. And the telly! Wahey! :p

    Deal ;):D

And you'll have your own place in no time if you save at the same rate as you have been repaying - but then you'll have a mortgage and be in loads more debt! :rotfl: (good debt though, at least you'll have your own space :))

I don't think I've got the patience to save for a deposit! :rotfl:

Oh well. Won't be for a while yet!

Hows you anyway? Fatboy all good? :)

Not a good idea to put on a public forum that you forgot! But I've quoted it for bribery purposes! ;)

Now there is one thing I'd like. A holiday. Somewhere hot. Swim up bar. Lazing around a pool all day! Pucker! :D

I'm sure he'd rather just have things you don't have to buy! ;)
