Dreamland & Smart Parking

Evening all, I went to a gig at Dreamland on 4/12. I drove up alone, arrived at around 6 and parked in a very dark onsite carpark, and without any clear signage for parking/obvious machines I was anxious about wandering around into the dark corners of the car park and went into the venue. Afterwards, a friend and I returned to the car, both looked out for signage or some indication of parking but nothing. I looked at Google maps and I can see a machine on the other side of the site. Following Step 1 in the newbies guide I've reached out to Dreamland customer service and got an auto reply that the office is closed until 2/1/25. I'm in limbo, and stressed beyond belief about this, given getting there's an additional 10 days (at least) delay in potentially cancelled it by Dreamland management. This isn't helped by the delay in receipt of the letter, as the PCN came yesterday (22/12), but was issued by Smart Parking on 12/12. 10 days to arrive seems a bit much, even with normal post in December. I would be grateful of any advice on what route I should take given the festive break!

Welcome!
Nothing to stress about because the appeal cannot fail. 100% nailed on win awaits as long as the keeper appeals, not saying nor implying who was driving,
Just use the words posted loads of times by @Grizebeck on every Smart Parking thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Great, thanks for your advice @Coupon-mad. Found the thread (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/79751762/#Comment_79751762) and have added statement to appeal section on Smart Parking website form. Will await the outcome.3

CASE CLOSED: as you all predicted, I received an email from smartparking.com on 20 Jan 25Thank you for your recent communication.
I have noted the points you raised and would like to confirm that we are cancelling the Parking Charge. The appeal was lodged online on 28 Dec 24 so took a while to come back but still, great news. Thanks all for the pointers.
