Please could I have some urgent advice. Myself and partner soon to be ex have been together for 17 years. We bought a house together only two years ago. He used a chunk from his pension money for the deposit and renovations on the property. He pays the mortgage directly from his bank account whilst I pay the bills and also the majority of our child’s activities, clothes etc
He has told me that I’m to leave in the new year as I haven’t contributed towards the mortgage this is his home and not mine. I want to know where I stand as I pay the bills etc and this is just the way things have been.

I have asked him to leave but he won’t. Have I got any rights? There is about £160k equity in the property and about £60k of that is from his pension going towards deposit and renovations.

You say “we bought a house together”, but he paid the deposit, for renovations (which presumably have increased the value of and therefore the equity in the property) and the mortgage…

Is your name on the house deeds and if so what ownership arrangement do you have?
Did you make any contribution to the deposit for the house?
Do you have a joint mortgage?
