I'm still baffled how people can come on here, see some of the threads and still think all of the delays are down to Solicitors.
Like it's not my fault you've signed everywhere except where I told you to sign. Back in the post it goes.3 -
We sold a leasehold flat earlier this year. The buyer had nothing to sell, no problem with the mortgage, and there was no chain above us, as it had been a rental. So, just one property involved. The conveyancing took six months.1

It does my head in that even the simplest thing seems to take 2 weeks to got from one solicitor to another to the seller then back again.0

from my experience it tends to take 3.5 months to 4.5 months for conveyancing even if there is no complications. this is often due to solicitors not acting quickly and have a standard turnaround time of two weeks to respond to anything raised!1

We agreed our sale and purchase in March last year, only 3 properties in the chain, took 5 months to complete. Seemed pretty normal. We paid over £2k in the end i think though (for selling and buying)0
