Hello
I received the following text earlier today about a package that could not be delivered.
It feels like a scam. Has anyone else had this?
Thanks

ThanksFirst question to ask is: Are you expecting a delivery or not?If the answer is no then its obviously a scam.If the answer is yes then the 2nd question is did I give them a mobile number? If the answer is no, its obviously a scam.If the answer to the 2nd question is yes, the third question is what happens if I go to the website of the people who I bought the item I'm waiting for from and what does their tracking say, does it match this text I've had? If it doesn't its obviously a scam.I think the answer to your question is obvious disregarding what I've just written.6 -
1. Just typed the web address you supplied into some scam website checkers.
Yes it is a scam, this website was created on the 14 Dec 2024.

I don't think I did because I'm expecting an Amazon delivery.0 -

I'll block the number.0 -
Another thing to note. Nowhere in the text does it say who they are or where the parcel came from. Neither does it give a tracking number.

Secondly, without fail any "missed delivery" 90% of the time comes from the courier and 10% of the time the merchant. In either case they'd be directing you to their branded website like Amazon.co.uk or track.dhl.co.uk not some unbranded URL. Scammers use an unbranded or a misspelt one

Yeah these are always scams.
A company will not "text" from a mobile number, and its links (if any) will always be direct to the company website.
They will also usually have a tracking number0 -
Sadly these pop up on a regular basis at this time of year - a good percentage of people will be expecting a delivery of some description and unfortunately some will invariably respond1
