Where there are 2 Executors for an Estate, is there a path for one Executor to cancel their role due to inability and/or ill health?

They can either renounce their powers by filling in form PA15 and giving it to other executor or they can opt to reserve powers which would mean they can step in if anything happens to the other executor during probate.

One other option is that they can appoint a power of attorney to act for them, which requires the completion of form PA11

As above.
Indeed, all executors can renounce if they wish. There is no obligation for anyone to take on the role of executor.1 -
That's great. Thank you both very much for your replies.0
