County court claim after car accident

  • Hello, Looking for a bit of advice please

In 2023 myself and another driver had a bump in a car park. Neither of us admitted liability, I did not need to claim as there was no damage but let my insurance know of the incident. The other party however did claim.

Do you mean there was no damage to either car? It is not unheard of for the other party to have another bump and then try and blame all the damage to their vehicle on yourself. A claim for £2500, and no damage to your car, seems a bit far fetched to me. I guess you didn't take any photographs at the time.

The OP hasn't looked on since 10th January so probably best not to hold your breath waiting for a reply. Statistically the answer is probably that his insurer dealt with the claim and he never really heard much more about it.

If you're asking because something similar has happened to you then you would be better off starting a new thread about it.
