V5 and driving licence required by DPO?

Hi,
I've moved house and sent request to DPO of parking company for them to erase the old address. They've replied and stated they need V5 and licence copies to action. Is this normal? I can't send the V5 for the disputed parking invoice as that car has been scrapped, I could send them my current V5.
I can't see how the V5 would reveal much since they claim they have evidence of to that car being on their site against their terms but seems odd requiring logbook
Any advice please? I was thinking a recent bill and licence might suffice? This is confirmation of ID sufficient for everyone else
Thanks

I can see that they could ask for proof of your new address - but a licence should do - have you told them there is no longer any V5?1

I wouldn't use photographic id containing your date of birth, or your new V5c either ( or a passport )
Add a recent copy of the debt collectors letter, or letter from a lawyer plus copies of 2 recent redacted utility bills or bank letters or council or government letters, so anything official, but dont give personal private information or data
So definitely not driving licence or passport4 -

You don't actually need to provide any proof of residency at all if you don't want to. You could actually just tell them to do a soft trace as it will only cost them a few pence, although it is better to provide some sort of non-photo' proof to save hassle at a later date.
Personally I wouldn't use a driving licence because it doesn't just contain your name and address, unless you want to go to the trouble of redacting more than just your photo'.I married my cousin.
