Dect phone with Sim?

Some background: We've just escaped from Virgin to a 5G provider for unlimited broadband. We wanted to keep our landline number, so I started a VOIP contract and transferred the number... I already had a VOIP adapter and the tests all proved satisfactory.

However I have discovered an issue there is an issue in that about 20% of the calls are silent. The receiving phone rings, but nothing else can be heard. A second attempt usually connects OK. I understand this i probably down to NAT, because my 5G sim does not offer a fixed IP (like Virgin did).

I'd like to keep the 5G solution (cheaper, no contract) for broadband, but realise that this probably means abandoning the VOIP 'landline', and moving the 'home phone' to a mobile solution. I appreciate that we will lose our number, but I'd like to keep the flexibility we have with 3 cordless handsets and a 'base station'.

Is there a set of cordless phones that use a sim in the base station?

Not exactly answering your question, but if your VOIP service uses SIP you can run a softphone app on your mobile phone. Your "landline" calls will then come to your mobile. You can run the app on several mobiles and they'll all ring; the first person to answer will get the call.
I've been using Grandstream Wave on my Android phone for 5+ years and it seems to work well for me. There are other softphones and some mobiles have native SIP support.
