I have had a message from a buyer, who says his parcel hasn't arrived.
Checking on the reference number on the receipt, Royal Mail indicate that two delivery attempts have been made (see image).
I replied politely to the buyer stating that RM usually leave a calling card and suggested he contacts his local PO or sorting office.
His reply .. no card left
I once again suggested asking at the PO / SO
What more should I do ?
If it is returned to me, do I refund the full amount or can I take off the postage

Unfortunately if it is returned to you then you would need to do a full refund of the full amount paid.
However do nothing until the item is returned and an INR case is opened.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ask the buyer what day they want redelivery for and put it through

RM usually leave a calling card, not in my experience. We have had many issues with RM. Postman failing to
leave calling cards or we get calling cards when no delivery was attempted. Caught the postman sneaking away
after leaving the card once but he didn't have the package. Neighbours dropping packages to us when we were in.
Another time RM were supposed to hold items for at least 7 days after an attempted delivery but we received no calling
card and someone was at home every day. Turned out the item was returned to the seller within 3 days of them posting it.
So there was no attempted delivery to us.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

As it was I was curious to know why I hadn't received the item back and was looking on the tracking number (EVRi) and on that same day the buyer had collected it .. actually 7 days after the so called 14 day deadline.
Now today, the buyer for the current case has contacted me, saying he is going to get me banned from eBay. I politely replied adding tracking details, the website link provided earlier and details of his local RM depot .. under two miles from his house. I suggested he contacts them ASAP0 -
