Morning all. When I got up it was pitch black so I had no idea what the weather was doing, other than it was dry and not windy. As it got lighter the wispy clouds were tinged with pink and eventually the sun made an appearance. So much change in the space of one hour.
Thanks for the start @Scarlet, good news your eye problem can be sorted soon with a high degree of success. Good luck with DH's CT scan this afternoon.
I'm glad the anti B's seem to be working @TA and hope you'll get some energy back soon. In the meantime, rest up as much as you need to and try to eat, even if it's only just a small amount.
The long awaited leather cleaner arrived on Tuesday so yesterday I postponed the curtain changing in favour of getting the sofa done. It's come up a treat, but I was pooped by the time I'd finished it. I'll do the curtains today after I get back from the shops. Anything else after that will be a bonus!
Easy tea tonight with a h/m balti from the freezer with either rice or jacket potato.
Healing wishes for the poorlies, take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Morning everyone
Cold and sunny here and the wind has dropped. Little one is on her school trip to Llilidorei today - they've got a lovely day for it. Fingers crossed she'll be fine, DD will be worried about her all day.
I had some good news last night, after my assessment last week I have been awarded LCWRA, which is such a relief. I was hopeful as the lady I had the assessment with really listened and I felt she understood what I was saying to her - it feels good to be believed at last.
I've celebrated this morning by buying a new rug for my bedroom, which I couldn't afford last night but now can!
DD is going to finish the painting on Saturday morning.
Right best get on, I want to get DDs stocking presents wrapped this morning.
Hope everyone has a good day x
TA hope you're feeling better soon.12 -
Thanks for the good wishes folks. I have decided I must be feeling at least marginally better as I have now progressed to worrying about Christmas! In a panic, in case I am not up to shopping amongst the throngs at the w/e, I have just done an order for essentials to be delivered tomorrow! Still a few things to get but at least the list isn't now as daunting! It's not the best time to be poorly. xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"14

Morning all, I was up and out early to the sm before it gets busy, I got everything on my list so if I've forgotten anything tough.
Yesterday was spent mostly pottering and present wrapping, the hampers are almost finished and only DGD's presents are left to do. We had a phone call in the afternoon from the dietitian who is sending Dad some puddings to try because he's not putting on any weight and she is concerned too. I rang Dad to tell him of the conversation and I got it both barrels for interfering ! The boot was on the other foot when I said I didn't she rang us because you didn't want to speak to her and had selective hearing 😡 He got a mouthful from me too, I refuse to be treated like that !
My friend and neighbour is having her hysterectomy op today and I hope they can get all the cancer out with it. Please think of her and send healing vibes.
I'm now off to do a bacon roll for brunch before I tackle putting the shopping away.
Gers glad you had a great time yesterday.
TA please take care of yourself, hopefully you will be well enough to enjoy xmas with DD and family.
dp1 great news for you and I hope little one enjoys her day out.
Scarlet hope Mr S's scan goes ok today and your future op is a great success
RedRuby fingers crossed that MiL is home before xmas.
taff yea to the new kitchen. Can I be first in line to taste the scrumptious food you'll serve up, please 🙏 😁 Thanks again for all the songs and carols.
Right off to my lowly kitchen to throw some bacon in a pan.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones, the sad or lonely.
nan xx

Afternoon all,TA, glad you're feeling a little bit better at least. I've been busy up until now, DH & I had a little walk, then my DB2 turned up with various foodstuffs they usually buy as their contribution to C day meal, and stayed for an hour. It's not a bad day today but a bit breezy and cooler, off to get DGS shortly. I had a good catch up yesterday with oldest friend. We didn't go to the retail park as she was a bit late arriving, but the little Italian up the road.I think we were lucky to get a table,it was really busy but we both enjoyed it.Right better go, sorry to be brief- take care all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
