Terms and Conditions

1. Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By entering the Audi X The Tawny Hotel prize 

draw (the “Prize Draw”), you confirm your acceptance of, and will be legally bound by, the

following terms and conditions ("Terms").

2. This Prize Draw is promoted and managed by Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited 

trading as Audi UK (Company Number 00514809), whose registered office is at Yeomans Drive, 

Blakelands, Milton Keynes, MK14 5AN (the “Promoter”).

3. These Terms apply so far as the law permits so please read them carefully before entering.

4. Please note that the Prize is non-transferable and photo ID will be required.

CAN I ENTER THE PRIZE DRAW?

5. Entry into the Prize Draw is free. No payment is necessary.

6. The Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom (excluding Channel Islands) aged 25

years or over.

7. The following individuals will not be eligible to enter this Prize Draw:

 anyone involved with the operation, promotion or administration of this Prize Draw; and/or

 any employees, agents, suppliers or subcontractors of the Promoter or The Tawny Hotel or 

their families and their associated companies or connected networks.

8. The Promoter reserves the right verify the eligibility of any entrant and compliance with these 

Terms. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this 

purpose.

9. Internet access, mobile number and an email address are required to enter the Prize Draw.

HOW TO ENTER

10. The Prize Draw is open from 10:00 (GMT +0) on 18 December 2024 and closes at 17:00 (GMT +0) 

on 15 January 2025 (the “Prize Draw Period”). Any entries received after this time will not be 

considered valid and will not be entered into the Prize Draw.

11. To enter the Prize Draw, you must:

 log into your email address; follow the instructions contained in the "call to action" email 

about the Prize Draw sent to the entrant by The Tawny Hotel as part of the e-newsletter

 or follow the instructions contained in The Tawny Hotel social media post

 click the link provided in the instructions; 

 complete the online form by providing your full name, mobile number and email address

 click "Enter Prize Draw", during the Prize Draw Period.

12. Only completed entries received by the Promoter during the course of the Prize Draw and in 

accordance with these Terms will be eligible for entry into the Prize Draw. 

13. Only one entry per person is permitted for the Prize Draw. Multiple entries and entries 

generated by script, macro, mechanical or other automated means are prohibited and will cause 

disqualification. Anyone found to have used multiple email addresses to enter the Prize Draw 

will be ineligible.

14. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are illegible or lost, delayed, damaged, 

incomplete, not received or rendered invalid for any reason beyond its control. These entries will 

be disqualified.

15. If at any time you wish to withdraw from the Prize Draw, your request should be made in writing 

to the Promoter by emailing events@audipresents.co.uk. 

SELECTION OF WINNERS

16. One (1) winner will be drawn at random on or around 20 January 2025 from all valid and eligible 

entries received during the Prize Draw Period. Only one prize per entrant.

17. The selection process is final and therefore no correspondence will be entered into thereafter.

18. The winner will be contacted via phone and email within 28 days of the winner being selected. 

The Promoter will use the contact details supplied with the entry to contact the winner and will 

not be responsible if the contact details supplied to it are incorrect. Please ensure that the 

phone number and email address you provide is valid in order for the Promoter to contact you 

once you have won.

19. The winner will be asked to confirm their name and email address and that they accept the Prize 

(defined below) by replying to the Promoter. If the winning entrant cannot be contacted or the 

Prize is not claimed by the winner within 2 working days after the first attempt to contact them, 

then the Promoter reserves the right (at its absolute discretion) to offer that Prize to another 

entrant who will be selected at random in the same way as the original winner. No alternative 

prize will be awarded to the original winner.

20. The name of the winner and the Prize won will (unless the winner has objected on lawful 

grounds) be made available on receipt of a self-addressed pre-paid envelope received by the 

Promoter before 31 July 2025. The Promoter may nevertheless disclose the information to the 

Advertising Standards Authority if required.

THE PRIZE

21. There is one (1) prize to be won. The prize includes:

• The winner will receive overnight accommodation for one night at The Tawny Hotel in 

Staffordshire. The accommodation is provided:

o double occupancy 

o on a bed and breakfast basis;

o in Retreat Room (not dog friendly)

• Dinner will be provided for the winner and their guest in The Plumicorn Restaurant up to the 

value of £75.00 for the winner and £75.00 for their guest (total £150.00).

• If the winner resides within a 150-mile radius of The Tawny Hotel: a chauffeur-driven Audi will 

take the winner and their guest to and from The Tawny Hotel in Staffordshire (Audi to select 

the vehicle based on availability and confirm to the winner when awarding the Main prize). If 

the winner resides outside the 150-mile radius of The Tawny Hotel, an Audi will be delivered

to the winners home address the day prior to their overnight stay and will be collected from 

their home address the following day after checking out from The Tawny Hotel. The Audi 

provided will be subject to availability and subject to power restrictions dependent on age (at 

least 19 years old if intending to drive a vehicle with up to and including 150 PS or equivalent, 

at least 21 years old if intending to drive a vehicle between 151 PS and 190 PS inclusive or 

equivalent and at least 25 years old if intending to drive a vehicle with over 190 PS or 

equivalent). The winner or their guest (whoever will be driving the car) must be at least 19 

years old and hold a current full UK driving licence (which has been valid for at least two years), 

not having more than eight current penalty points on their licence (incurred in the previous 

four years) and not having a conviction on their licence in the last three years which resulted 

in disqualification). 

22. The following terms apply to the Prize:

• all elements of the Prize must be taken at the same time;

• The prize must be taken before 31 January 2026 (blackout dates may apply). The date is 

subject to availability at The Tawny Hotel;

• it is the responsibility of the winner to ensure that they are available on the date they have 

booked for the overnight stay;

• the winner must agree to their details being shared with The Tawny Hotel for the purpose of 

fulfilling the prize;

• the winner will not be entitled to any reimbursement of travel costs associated with 

attending The Tawny Hotel;

• other than as set out above, the Prize does not include any additional meals and drinks, 

entertainment, spending money, personal and travel insurances, appropriate clothing, 

personal expenses, visas, vaccinations or any other costs not specifically mentioned as part 

of the Prize above. All such costs will be the sole responsibility of the Winner(s); 

• the Winner will need to adhere to any terms and conditions and/or disclaimers provided as 

part of the Prize. This includes The Tawny Hotel terms and conditions (e.g. if they wish to 

cancel their stay.)

23. There is only one (1) Prize per winner.

24. The winner will be required to provide a valid form of government issued ID and/or other 

information on request by the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold the prize 

due to any discrepancies in the winner’s and/or guest’s ID.

25. If the Promoter subsequently discovers the winning entrant is ineligible, has breached these 

Terms or is suspected of engaging in any other unfair or unjust behaviour then the Promoter 

reserves the right (at its absolute discretion) not to award the Prize to that entrant and award 

the Prize to another entrant, who will be selected at random in the same way as the original 

winner. In the event the original winning entrant agrees to return the Prize (at his/her expense) 

immediately to the Promoter. No alternative prize will be awarded to the original winning 

entrant.

26. If the Prize offered is unavailable, cancelled or suspended due to circumstances beyond the 

control of the Promoter, the Promoter has the right, but is not obliged, to offer an alternative 

prize of equal or greater value to the face value of the Prize. The winning entrant will not be 

entitled to any monetary equivalent or compensation for any costs or expenses incurred or 

suffered in connection with taking up the Prize.

27. There is no cash or credit alternative and the Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-

negotiable and is not for resale.

28. If you wish to withdraw from the Prize Draw, you should contact the Promoter by emailing 

events@audipresents.co.uk as soon as possible. In the event that all or any of the winners 

cancel their place or withdraw, the Promoter will use its reasonable endeavours to select 

another winner at random in the same way as the original winner. The entrants acknowledge 

that there may be circumstances in which the Prize cannot be re-allocated due to short notice 

of cancellations by winners.

29. The Tawny Hotel reserves the right to refuse or withdraw the Prize if the winner threatens or 

abuses an employee or otherwise conducts themselves in a manner that The Tawny Hotel

reasonably regards as inappropriate, offensive or unlawful.

PUBLICITY

30. Any winner may be required to take part in non-paid publicity or advertising relating to the 

Prize Draw, which may include having their photograph taken for promotional and/or press 

purposes.

31. The Promoter reserves the right to feature the name, photograph and location of the winner in 

any future marketing materials, website publications, promotions and/or prize draws.

GENERAL

32. In all circumstances, the Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

33. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for (a) any entries which are not received due to the use 

of incorrect or inaccurate entry information, any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions, or

for any other reason; (b) any unauthorised access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries 

at any point in the operation of the Prize Draw; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, 

omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, 

regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, 

computers or providers used in any aspect of the operation of the Prize Draw; (d) inaccessibility 

or unavailability of any network or wireless service, the Internet and/or any website; or (e) any 

injury or damage to any person’s computer(s) or mobile device(s) which may be related to or 

result from any attempt to participate in the Prize Draw or to download any materials in 

connection with the Prize Draw.

34. The Promoter is not responsible for events outside its control or for any losses arising as a result 

of events outside of its control. Nothing in these Terms shall have the effect of excluding or 

restricting the Promoter's liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for 

(a) death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Promoter or its employees, agents 

or sub-contractors, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and/or (c) any other matter for 

which it would be unlawful for it to exclude or attempt to exclude their liability.

35. The Promoter may change these Terms or cancel the Prize Draw at its absolute discretion in the 

event of circumstances outside its reasonable control, which it considers make it necessary for it 

to do so.

36. If there is a conflict in these Terms with any other terms whatsoever in respect of the Prize 

Draw, these conditions will apply.

37. Each of the paragraphs of these terms and conditions operates separately. If any court or 

relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain 

in full force and effect.

38. Any personal information supplied in connection with the Prize Draw will be used, shared and 

retained as set out in the Privacy Notice posted below. Please note that, where you provide any 

personal information to any third party other than the Promoter during the course of the Prize 

Draw the processing of that information will be dealt with in accordance with that relevant 

entity’s privacy statement.

39. The Prize Draw and these Terms (including any non-contractual disputes or claims arising out of 

them) are subject to English law and any disputes or claims must be referred to the English 

courts. Consumers in Scotland may additionally bring an action in their home court.
