Child bank account

The only thing with Nationwide is that their app is way behind what everyone else offers. With only a small number of transactions that might not matter too much though and they do have their fairer share scheme that you can get £100 from sometimes (my daugther gets it on hers as she has a savings account with them too)Other ones to look at might be Halifax's Money Smart and Expresscash. I don't think long term history would count for much, it tends to be credit history that people look at so that's irrelevant for now. I'd say choose a savings account for the best interest, a current account for the best day to day management of money, and keep an eye on them both and change them whenever he finds anything better.1
