Octopus energy bill

I have today received an estimated gas bill from Octopus energy for 2021-22 including standing charge. At this time my gas was changed to Octopus following the collapse of Green energy .For some reason my electricity account was changed to Shell .For simplicity I changed my gas to Shell and continued with them until last year . My question is , do I have to pay this bill being for a period in excess of 2 years ago and estimated although I guess the standing charge could be correct . I could have already paid my subsequent energy supply company for both.
