Form E

A friend is struggling with filling in Form E. Is there anywhere with templates listing the sort of expenses that ought to be considered? For example, if you just looked back over 6 months of bank statements, you could easily forget about the TV licence - a 50/50 chance if it's paid annually.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

There are note on the gov website - https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/63c132a1e90e0770642801d2/Form_E_Notes_0123.pdf
I presume this doesn't answer the question?
which section are they having trouble with?0 -
The financial requirements section. Essentially, she needs to produce a detailed budget - something she's never done. So, I think she's just looking for a list of all the expenditure that people tend to list, so she doesn't forget stuff.DE_612183 said:There are note on the gov website - https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/63c132a1e90e0770642801d2/Form_E_Notes_0123.pdf

I don't think there is a template for that as everyone is different - probably easier to just check bank statements ( unless lots of cash payments )GDB2222 said:

Agreed but for the love of god include all of those line items. It'd be laughable if you do (I only say that as I've seen some ridiculous form E expenditure lists in my time, don't undermine your credibility by making stuff off/claiming over the top things, the court sees right through it...as will your ex's solicitorsGDB2222 said:I found this:

I remember one up market firm of solicitors always used to include an allowance for buying flowers.VyEu said:
