Tui Holiday to mexico construction

Hi We have booked a package through TUI to Mexico and have never been told about construction works .After constantly ringing them they said it should be done by the 14th Dec which clearly it isn't. There is no pool ,there are big hoardings around the hotel lobby's and grounds because of major construction works .People are posting pictures its dreadful. I have contacted numerous departments and are still being told 12days before we fly they are still awaiting updates as it should be done even though they clearly know its nowhere near and people are saying at least March. We have spent a fortune with Tui and it is our 7th visit to Mexico and the stress this is causing has ruined any trip now. They have said we will have to wait to see what happens and maybe what is left. Tui have been no help at all apart from apologies that i was never told. I am still waiting 12 days to go.
What can i do?
What can i do?

If you've been to Mexico 7 times why on earth are you buying a package? So much cheaper and better not to. Can understand an inexperienced first timer wondering if its "dangerous" but people who've been many times know its not if your sensible.
Do Tui have other packages available that have you on the same flight but different hotel?0 -

She didn't ask for advice on booking a holiday independently.
OP if they're not being that helpful then only option really is to go and then complain with the rep and then on your return or cancel which may result in you losing money.

No I would rather go with what i thought was a reputable company. They have said that if i change anything i have to pay even though they are fully aware of the state of the hotel it is all over trip advisor.
I have just rang again and been told that they have no updates still ands will let me know when they know meanwhile there is very little left that is suitable.0 -
we have given them 2 options on hotels which are nearly full but they will not do anything until they officialy get told that the hotel is still under major construction.0

Sorry if I've missed it, have you contacted the hotel directly to ask the situation on the building works?2
