Morning! Well that's a bit windy this morning isn't it? Tiler is coming today [ at last!] and I'm going to Ikea tonight with friends [ probably for meatballs]...I didn't get round to doing the marzipan, I did all the stops in the door instead, so that's a this morning job after I have bood taken. Did the snacky bits and odd bits shop yesterday so only veg remains to get and something to drink for me..Not having normal tv insualtes us from the constant adverts and reminders to spend spend spend [ not that I need any help with that bit] so I think I have a more relaxed time.
Scarlet, good to hear it wasn't too bad for him. Gers, how annoying to hae a wet bum, even worse to get the car seat wet. Mine stains immediately if I get any liquid on it [ not great when you transport pots of flowers and veg and forget] That is one big bauble too [ had to google it] Allie, enjoy the time off. Coxy, also ooo Patrick Grant! Floss, thanks. I'll have to get some green bleach...Izzy, glad you enjoyed the brass band, sounds both horrendous and fab
Nanny, I did laugh at wearing the hazmat suit, I can imagine al too well what the insides of the fridge looked like, he probably had a proto colony of alien life in there
Ruby, glad Rob had a nice Christmas with you...Yorkslass, well, it's good you have some company so you're both doing each other a favour
shame about the breakdown though...Take care all, it's wild today...

Morning everyone and 'thank you' for starting us off Gers.
Yes, it's also very windy here with rain, so a horrid day. Don't think I'll be going far.
Hope everyone has a good day whatever they are doing. x10 -
Morning all. It's still not quite light yet and I expect it will be dull again with gusty winds and rain forecast for the day. That being the case, I've changed plans and will do my small shop tomorrow rather than today when it's supposedly going to be dry and sunny, even though colder. And to add to the confusion, my brain is telling me it's Friday which it's obviously not.
@Scarlet - Scans are so much better nowadays than they used to be, best wishes for today's eye appointment and DH's next scan tomorrow.
@Coxy - I'm sorry to hear your SiL is likely to be in hospital over Xmas, fingers crossed for continued improvement.
I didn't get the living room curtains changed yesterday so will do that today. Not sure what else I'll achieve, it will be a go-with-the-flow day.
DS has settled in - luckily I have two spare bedrooms, one of which is set up as a guest room and the other can be a make shift office for the days when he's working from home. Not today though, as he has a client meeting in Carlisle and tomorrow he'll be in Northampton.
Have a good day and don't get blown away if you're in a windy place. Hugs where needed or wanted. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Morning all, thanks Gers, similar weather here, wet & blustery. I am going out with my oldest friend today for lunch, I'll be doing my hair but sometimes wonder if there's any point with this weather! I'm hoping that if we go to our usual place at the shopping centre, I can find time to nip and get the last present for DGS.My grocery delivery was 'interesting' yesterday, the driver said 1 box was missing, it was the fresh stuff. He said if it was found he'd come back, and I wouldn't be charged for it. Over 2 hours later he rang to say it had been found and he was on his way. Apart from the inconvenience of waiting around, it was in my favour as there were 2 big joints of meat, burgers, sausages, cheese and more, 3 big bags full. I've checked my receipt and it's nearly half the price it should have been! The meat joints have been cut in half, & freezer hastily rearranged to house them all!Hope you're feeling a bit better today TA.I know what you mean @WickedLady4 about the lack of anything low carb on most buffets/food offerings, I'm the sameDH is struggling to sleep at night, and keeps dropping off during the day. He's not used to being in the house so much doing not much.Scarlet hope DH appt goes ok tomorrow.Coxy hope your SiL can get home soonRight better get a move on, take care all -hugs x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. All I want for Christmas is a new pelvic floor !
sorry if tmi !,9 -
You could try callanetics, they'll give you a pelvic floor like a steel trap, after a few weeks anyway....awful eighties video, great results though if you can stick it. Make you all over more flexible too.

Hello all, we too had a windy and wet night. The rain has changed to a mizzle but the wind is blowing it sideways so it's not nice at all.
We had a great evening with DD and the DGC and as always everything descended into chaotic laughter. Conversations with the DGC were diverse to say the least and ranged from my hair colour, as DGD thought the hairdresser had done it (er no it's natural grey and has been for a couple of years) to what type of microwave did I have, bizarre 🤷♀️.
I have been out collecting our meds this morning then called in to the meat van for our usual selection. I have bacon to split, vacuum seal and then I have to play tetris in the freezers. Tomorrow I'm going shopping early to finish off the bits and bobs needed from the sm.
I'm waiting for the last present to be delivered this morning then I'm going to start filling the DGC's hampers. I made the decision not to get them a selection box this year and do a hamper filled with their favourites but I think it may be more expensive this way.
Scarlet hope the eye appointment goes well today. Glad Mr S was ok with his MRI and that the CT scan goes ok tomorrow.
Suffolksue I wish I had the power to give it to you, hugs.
Coxy sorry that SIL may not be home for xmas
Hugs to those in need, stay safe, warm and dry everyone

Morning everyone TAFF I had that video I think I watched it once obviously didn’t do it or I wouldn’t have the figure I have now . I popped in on the off chance to make an appointment to have my eyebrows waxed and tinted yesterday she had just had someone cancel so she did them there and then never been to her before but I’m really pleased a nice colour and shape not two black slugs sat on my face so I have made another appointment for the end of January due to my thyroid I lost my eyebrows and for all my hair is thick they never really grew back properly they are really sparce I feel so much better having them done I think they frame your face so that’s another New Year’s resolution to keep going to get them done I’m afraid my pain in the backside hubby is in for the shock of his life I bought two cakes yesterday for him we’ll both of us one was ginger and the other coffee I new he wouldn’t touch the coffee one but he likes ginger cake but he wouldn’t eat that one because it was to gingery so I have told him not to worry because there’s no treats in this house come the new year and I am making my own meals and he can crack on and make his own he’s getting worse I’m sick to death of eating the same things well rant over . I hope you are all coping with the weather we have had high winds here and rain all night but it seems as if it’s getting brighter. I must make a move I went to bed at 10 last night and was still looking at the clock at 5 then the dog woke me up at six to go out my sleeping has never been good but it’s definitely getting worse. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Hello everyone
I didn't get on this morning as I had to be at church for the school Christmas service at 9am...little one was beaming and waving as she had her mummy , me and her great gran all there. After that it was our Christmas party at nursery with a visit from Santa at the end and then we closed early and went out for lunch at a nearby cafe, which was really nice. My friend dropped me off to go shopping - I got some food bits and the rest of my stocking fillers for my girls, who both love their stocking aged 25 and 28. Even when they were really little, they both opened their stockings first.
I was home by 3 and had a cuppa and some chocolate and read some of Sunday's Sunday Times.
I'm going to wash up and then have a have a nice bath, I don't thing I'll be late into bed tonight as I'm tired after being up and out earlier this morning. x9
