Universal credit sanctions

Options
My husband was two days late accepting a commitment on his do list this month. It totally slipped our minds as my brother passed away recently and we have been dealing with funeral arrangements etc and have had so much to think about and remember.

I have explained this on my journal but had no response yet. Does anyone know if we are likely to be sanctioned? We have been claiming for over two years and never missed one before.

If you've given them all the information I'm sure it'll be fine.

Not a sanction issue. If commitments are not accepted within 7 days a claim could be closed.  So it appears the claim closure action was not completed on this occasion, as if it had been there would a claim closed entry in the journal.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
