Glasses, frame repair broken in the middle, above nose

Not only did the frame cost me what I felt
was a large amount of money but IMO they not only suit me
but I feel very comfortable in them.
They are heavy, men's glasses. With steel arms
I've dropped them the other day and they broke its about the 12th time
I had them above my head whilst getting out car as I'd just read a text message
The glasses fell on the concrete floor and snapped right in the middle of
the bridge.
I've looked everywhere and they are no longer made and a I don't
want a used pair.
Repairs are 100 everywhere but no guarantees of any type
I tried super glue and added a bit of foam, which held but as I was filing the foam down, they came apart again.
I don't have a small drill or steady hand to drill in pin and glue
Any glue that would do the job?
I thought Gripfill would do it but the directions on the tube stated "one surface has to be porous and the frame is not porous.

I'm not sure how to fix them, but could you get a replica made? I think whatever you do as a fix may fail in time, especially as you abuse them a bit (it's not good for glasses to be pushed on top of your head)

from 245. Not too bad just for the front bit and I'm guess it will be a load more for them to join the arms
I will keep them in mind.

Yes, you need someone with a small drill so you can first insert one or two hidden pins to join them, bedded in probably an epoxy adhesive, or perhaps a viscous, gap-filling, superglue. So, do you know a hobbyist or handyperson who could take this on? Many DIYish people can do this - you just need to find them!1 -
Alternatively there are repair services available, including welding
https://www.simplespex.co.uk/frame-repair-service/
Or Cubitts does a bespoke glasses design service which may get you a replacement.

Yup - he's already had ~£100 quotes for this. This is a great project for a DIY repair, but it needs the tools, and a volunteer.1

I will try the "hobby" route.1 -
I got my glasses about 5/6 years ago.
When did you last have an eye test? You should have one at least every two years, not only to check your vision but to also check for glaucoma and other possible eye diseases etc.
Are you unable to find suitable new frames locally or online?
New glasses should be a better solution than trying to repair an old pair.
You can get frames and basic lens for as little as £50.
There is a wide range of choice in our local Boots, Specsavers etc.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".2 -
