RM tracking not moving!

I am waiting for 3 items to be delivered by RM 48 and not one of them is updating or even started the journey according to tracking.

One is from ebay that was bought a week ago and no tracking info from ebay and RMsaid posted Thurs but nothing since.
The other 2 are a similar story but bought from separate online retailers.  

I know that there are problems with RM and Christmas etc but they are selling a tracked service so the least they can do is register the tracking.

Is anyone else having this problem?

It's not that unusual. For a lot of tracked items, tracking only kicks in when a delivery or delivery attempt has been made.
As a seller I had one dispatched on Tracked 24 last Thursday, it was due for delivery by Saturday. It never tracked as collected or posted, at all. It appeared on tracking on Saturday afternoon, showing delivery as being due on Monday.

All couriers struggle at certain points in the year, and individual items can have problems at any time. 

Sold the most expensive item I've ever sold via the internet a few years ago. Initially it was moving fine, updates a couple of times a day as it moved from London to Birmingham with it due to ve delivered in northern England. The it stopped, despite it being on a 48 hour delivery, for over a week with no further updates. Was sold via forum, seller and I were long standing members so were considerate but both got nervous as time went on. then all of a sudden it was delivered. Buyer was happy, said the parcel was in perfect condition, no idea what happened.

A parcel I sent with Royal Mail Tracked 48 on 5 December has, according to tracking, been in Tyneside Mail Centre since 6 December.

I've raised the issue with Royal Mail and I'm awaiting a response, which is due today.

One of mine is "unrecognised " another is "waiting to be dropped off" and another is "we have got your parcel" that's it!

I don't hold much hope of getting any of them!
